Mobile Overview
PawOS on a phone: PawOS Web in the browser, and a phone paired with PawOS Desktop.
PawOS works on a phone in two ways. PawOS Web runs in your phone’s browser on its own: you chat with Paw and change code in a GitHub repository, exactly as on a computer. Mobile Presence, which this section describes, is different: you pair your phone with PawOS Desktop and follow that desktop session from it — its conversation, its notifications, and actions waiting for your approval. Neither is an independent, full-featured mobile application, and there is no separate app to download.
Pairing uses a QR code scanned from the desktop app to establish a trusted device relationship, secured with real encryption and token rotation.
How it works
What you see
- Pairing, trusted devices, presence, notifications and approvals on your phone.
- Clear status: active, paired, waiting for approval or disconnected.
What PawOS does
- Pairing creates a trusted link between your phone and your desktop.
- Your desktop stays in charge of files, commands, installs and apps.
- Approvals on your phone respond to real pending requests from your desktop.
Permissions
- Pairing a phone never gives it direct access to your files, terminal, connections or deployments.
- An approval from your phone still goes through the desktop’s own checks.
Records
- Presence and approvals are tied to real task and approval state on your desktop.
Good to know
- Mobile works alongside the desktop app; your desktop needs to be online.
